CASE RULING:
NOT GUILTY
After careful hearing in the case of Ms. Laura Lee Kimble's attack on Mr. Clement Beasley, the court has been instructed to find for the defendant after it was realized that Mr. Beasley suppressed valuable evidence in the trail. The due date for the loan Mr. Beasley was trying to collect was three months away and so Mr. Beasley had no justification for being on the premises of Mrs. Celestine Clairborn, whom Ms. Kimble was watching the house for.Read the full court case here:

Laura Lee's Version
She was watching the house for Celestine
when someone tried to force her to pay,
insulted the person she had grown up taking
care of, and then insulted her. She would not
stand for anyone talking to her that way and
grabbed him and tossed him off of Celestine's
property.
Clement Beasley's Version
He was simply collecting the money
for a loan he had paid when this woman
refused to pay, wasn't who he expected,
and then grabbed him and tossed him
out while shouting obscenities and
attempting to murder him while he was
just trying to get what he was owed.
Biography
Laura Lee Kimble grew up as a slave to the family of Celestine Beaufort, now Clairborne. She took care of and helped raised "Miz' Celestine" and even when she was married followed Celestine to take care of her throughout her life. When Laura Lee's husband died Celestine took out a loan to return him to the place where he hoped to be buried as she had promised. She was setting off to make arrangements and Laura Lee was watching the house when the person Celestine took the loan from, Clement Beasley, came to collect. Laura Lee did not know what he wanted, just that he was disrespecting her and Celestine and so she promptly kicked him off her property. Clement sued her for felonious, mayhem, aggravated assault and premeditated attempted murder, and obscene and abusive language. Laura Lee told her story to the court because she had no other witness or defendant because Celestine had not arrived. After telling her version, the court found that the loan Clement was trying to collect on was not due for another three months, which he had suppressed from the court, and that he had prevented Celestine from getting Laura Lee's letter for help. At this point the judge found in favor of Laura Lee and she was released free of charge.
